Hyberbole Poems

A Canadian Day
I hold my shovel, removing fresh snow
Flakes waltz around my backyard.
Outstretched branches carefully caress the crystals
Preparing them for a new journey
Somewhere; far but joyful, near the stars
I see a twinkle emitting nearby
Curious and wishful, I glide across
Looking for the lost emerald of July
But instead of jewels, only a snowman stood
With a sharp nose and twin diamond eyes
Non-moving, but joy filled the air
So innocent, carefree, and genuine
But slowly distanced away, as if worlds apart
Feeling tired, I slowly walk away
Rejoicing with my friends at home
Sound waves and cheers spark across the room
Tiny objects, slapped by sticks
only to be trapped in an endless net
bottles of Molsen are shot into the air
Adrenaline surging through my body
No longer tired or sad
Jumping to the roof, elevated and fresh
Proud and excited, exploding with happiness
Combining our holy voices with a distinct "EH!"
