Love poem
I want to hold you close
But I am too scared to love
Once a golden fire, full of love and zeal
I feel a bit of hope; something
Somewhere up above
But you threw me away and I lost myself
Weary I became; fell in a deep hole
Drifted away, seeking for help; to heal
I was deflated and gone; a lost soul
You’ll light me for a while
Then blow me away again
I dream and hope of your calm soft touch
I really don’t know what to do
My sky’s full of only you
Eventually a rotten apple formed
And I hurt everyone I knew, one by one
A smile once beautiful but now deformed
Embodied enough hate to burn the sun
Was tricked by my own imagination
I pursued unreachable clouds
Sentenced for life, for elimination
Once a warrior, undefinable and proud
Now a lost soul yearning for redemption
Locked and destroyed in my own dimension

An Evil Within
William Golding Lord of the Flies
Found Poem
Pg. 37, 90-117
The Chill of Dawn
Feet, fragile and white.
I sat, trembling, defeated
The sounds of a nightmare
Re-Echoing through my ears
Pg. 18,44,50-70
Broken Glasses, visions of
Hitting, biting, scratching
“Kill him. Cut his throat. Bash him in.”
The sound of blood like raindrops, bloodthirsty
Uncontrollable, consumed by savagery
Dreadful moans, locked by
An oblong of darkness, untold terrors
Pg.39,50-80
A fading comfort, fragments of
Lost passion and dreams
The longing of safety, preserved
Only by memory, broken and invisible
By the horrors of the island
Pg.14, 27,44, 100-130
Glimpses of shadows plunging into the darkness
A view of death, foul and inescapable
All remained were lost cries
Of fallen angels, masked under
The laughter of the beast.

Lord of the Flies
A bath of heat, a vision of red and yellow
Danced and trembled against the faces
Of dark and concealed figures
Only blurred sunlight, stripes of colour leapt into visibility.
They passed like shadows under the darkness
With the silence of the forest, amid the shadows of beasts.
Towards the lagoon, among the creepers and broken trunks
Along the shore they carried themselves.
Darkness was a place of scar
Hearts shaking, violence approaching and noises squeaking
But they had no fear
Life was visible among them
They delightfully laughed and fiercely continued on their hunt.
Bushes crashed ahead
Tusks gleaming, shouting boys.
Clouds opened to let down rain
The desire to squeeze and hurt was over-mastering
hesitating, blood was staining the sand.
Pale skin reddens under the burn of the slanted sun,
Sweat and grime, calluses and raw skin,
Bodies craving the taste of meat and the comfort of a home,
Order and structure lost to the chaos of desperation
Alone, lost, fearful, and yet so free.
